Healthy Eating

Not sure what to cook?

  • Would you like to know more about cooking healthy food?
  • Are you over 60 years of age?
  • Are you cooking on a budget?

A series of hands on cook and eat sessions in which older people can take part making a 2 course meal for 2 within a budget.  The free sessions will take place at local venues and will use locally sourced ingredients.  The sessions will also cover: information & advice on eating well as you grow older, the importance of having a food store at home and budgeting for food.

Getting hold of information, advice and practical support isn’t always easy, particularly if you're isolated or live in a rural area. It helps to know then that there are people who can provide friendly, informal, advice – even a quick chat can whet your appetite, leaving you to live a healthier life.
